I woke up shortly after 06:30, got ready, and then walked to the United States Embassy; I had set up an appointment earlier and now I was going there to add much needed Visa pages to my passport; I arrived at the embassy, checked in, filled out the appropriate form, submitted the form and my passport, paid the cashier, and, in less than forty minutes, received my passport back with many new pages (I can now keep going for a year). After departing the embassy, I walked to the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Muscat, but it was too expensive to stay there more than a minute; so I walked east along the beach and through some newly constructed residences before I reached the area near the Intercontinental Hotel. I then stopped for a large cup of Paradiso Dark coffee and a chocolate profiterole at a Second Cup cafe. After that treat, I walked to the Muscat Opera House before heading back to toward my hotel. On the way back, I stopped for some Guinness beers and a chicken pesto panini with French fries and a salad at an Irish-themed pub in the Radisson. I then went back to my hotel room and relaxed watching ‘Every Which Way But Loose’ before going to bed very early – I have an early flight tomorrow and it looks like I’ll be walking to the airport (18 kilometers away) since taxi drivers here are all scumbags not deserving of any money. The End.
