On Board the MS Royal Princess: Day Five

Roseau, Dominica

[NOTE: I’ve grown weary of writing the usual bullshit narrative; so I’ve decided to dispense with it and present the raw notes I took on my iPhone instead.]

-wake up 07:30, shower, dress, get ready

-disembark at 09:00, find tour guide

-tour begins at 09:30, drive through Roseau and short visit to Botanical Gardens (bus crushed by 1979 hurricane), view point, through Canefield and past airport, drive to Emerald Pool in NP, then to Mero Beach (volcanic sand beach) where I had a local beer and walked around the beach, trying to find something to do with the two hours we were allotted (I did not bring a swim suit nor a towel); back to cruise by 15:10.

-two slices of pepperoni pizza and iced tea on deck 16 for lunch

-back to room and showered

-watched ‘Boyhood’ (it sucked; an absolutely terrible movie)

-dinner at Horizon Court: Caesar salad with blue cheese dressing, carrots, sausages, slice of pork loin, chickpeas on tomato sauce, baked beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, iced tea

-watched ‘Fury’

-6 Guinness beers at Club 6

-sleep after 01:00
