On Board the MS Royal Princess: Day Two

[NOTE: I’ve grown weary of writing the usual bullshit narrative; so I’ve decided to dispense with it and present the raw notes I took on my iPhone instead.]

-wake up at 09:00, shower, dress, get ready, find disembarking point – dining area

-ticket for tender at 10:00, wait in dining area

-tender to island after 10:30

-walk around area

-sliced fruits and a banana for a snack

-walk some more

-burger, hot dog, baked beans, potato salad for lunch

-sun bathe and dip in the water

-tender back to ship at 13:30, shower, relax in room

-watched ‘Magic in the Moonlight’

-afternoon tea time with a table of old timers

-seated at table with 3 Canadian couples in the dining hall; they were all socialists and staunch supporters of a health care system that keeps them alive at the expense of their fellow citizenry (they mistakenly think it’s free, not realizing the money to fund it has to come from somewhere); dinner of game and wild mushroom pate (with a Port wine glaze), Bahamian pea soup and dough boy, Caesar salad, petit fillet mignon, large prawns, asparagus – took forever to be served (18:30, 19:20, last course served at 20:40)

-21:00 show of Ye Olde Pub

-watched ‘Birdman’

-Blood and Sand cocktail from Club 6

-bed around 02:00
