Caribbean Sea

On Board the MS Royal Princess: Day Thirteen

At Sea

[NOTE: I’ve grown weary of writing the usual bullshit narrative; so I’ve decided to dispense with it and present the raw notes I took on my iPhone instead.]

-woke up after noon, showered, dressed

-watched the ‘The Water Divine’r and had a cappuccino

-had two slices of pizza (pepperoni and a pear and cured ham pizza) and an iced tea

-watched the 18:45 Colors of the World show in the Princess Theater

-champagne from the Captain’s toast

-dinner at Horizon Court: carrots, zucchini and garlic, grilled salmon, grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, salad (made with croutons, eggs, chunks of avocados, bacon bits, and blue cheese dressing), iced tea

-dessert: banana flambé and warm hazelnut pudding with vanilla sauce and a cup of coffee

-sat in the library and read about American painters whilst listening to the Liberty String Quartet play music from the Baroque Era in the Wheelhouse Bar next door (enjoyed the paintings by Thomas Cole, Eastman Johnson, George Inness, Winslow Homer, Thomas Eakins, Edward Hopper, and Paul Cadmus)

-watched the first episode of The Love Boat in my room, available on the television for Princess Cruises 50th Anniversary celebration

-walked down to the Vista Lounge to watch Perry Grant, a singer and pianist, perform his show

-had two Pina Coladas and some fruity cocktail while talking with the Canadian real estate guy I met a couple times before, a retired US Army guy who is now a farmer, a Russian-American guy in construction, and a mortgage broker guy from New Jersey

-went to sleep after 02:00

An open journal or an exercise in narcissism.
